Shipping and Returns
We ship everywhere!
Deliveries within India:
Orders to be delivered within India will be fulfilled from our Delhi office, via Fedex. Upon dispatch you will receive a confirmation email with the tracking details of your order.
Courier and handling charges are an additional Rs.250/- per packet for all order up to Rs.10,000/-. Orders above Rs.10,000/- enjoy free shipping.
For pin codes not serviced by Fedex, we use Speed Post which is a trackable and reliable option. While unusual, as the recipient, you are liable for all octroi/duties and any form of bureaucratic surcharges levied by the Indian state you are in.
International Deliveries to Asia and Middle East:
Orders to addresses in Asia and the Middle East will also be fulfilled from our Delhi office, via Fedex.
We have taken an average to determine region-wise flat rate charges. Applicable shipping charges will show up at the time of check out.
When ordering jewellery from Lai for international deliveries you may be subject to import duties and/or taxes of the country. We are not in a position to advice you on what custom duties/taxes you may have to pay and we cannot take that responsibility.
International deliveries to all countries outside of Asia and Middle East (like USA, Europe, Canada, Australia etc.):
While you can place your order on this website, it is preferred that you use our US website (us.lai-designs.com) for placing orders for countries outside India, Asia and Middle East.
Lai's second office is in California, USA and orders placed on our US website (us.lai-designs.com) will be mailed from our California office. Since the inventory and cost of operations in USA are different than in India, when ordering from our US website, you will be charged according to the country specific catalogue pricing. We ship all orders from our California studio via USPS’s insured Priority Services or Fedex. Tracking number will be shared after the dispatch.
Although we try our best to ensure packages are delivered in a timely manner, we depend on third party logistics providers for our shipping. While we’ll do our best to deliver your packages on time and use the best providers (such as Fedex) we can, once a package is out with a delivery service, there is not much we can do when it takes a little longer to get to you than it should. We appreciate your patience in such situations.
Lai takes great pride in the level of quality and authenticity of our pieces. It is important for us that you wear with love and satisfaction any jewellery you buy from us and not feel stuck with it just because you have bought it!
If for any reason, you feel dissatisfied with the jewellery that you have purchased, you are welcome to return it to us within 7 days of purchase- unworn and in its original packaging for full refund or store credit. No returns or exchanges are accepted after 7 days. Please note: shipping charges cannot be refunded.
An exception: we do not accept returns on Nose pins for hygiene purpose- except when a wrong design or version has been sent by us.
When returning items to us, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Please send your items using trackable methods to ensure safe delivery. Till it reaches us, the packet is customer’s responsibility.
However, despite our QC, if you receive a defective piece, we could either replace it for you while paying for return shipping or refund the entire amount- including shipping charges.
Please allow for slight variations due to handcrafted nature of our jewellery. These are the maker's mark and should be cherished as such. Also, we mostly use genuine stones which means our stones can have color variation and inclusions- which are a testimony of their natural origin and not defects. If these things bother you, then you need to check with us before placing your order.
