A playful collection in silver with enameling, inspired by the colours and patterns of rangoli/alpana.
Rangoli, also known as kolam or alpana, is a traditional art form, practiced throughout India. Colourful (often geometric) patterns are created on the floor in or outside homes using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, coloured sand or flower petals.
Rangoli is combination of 2 words- 'rang' which means colours and 'holi' which means celebration. Rangoli, therefore, is an artistic celebration of colours. Lai's Rangoli collection is based on this very colourful, traditional yet personal art form. The designs are elegant and playful just like the rangoli patterns that they have been inspired from!
