Where is the jewellery being shipped from?

All our jewellery, bought from this website, is shipped from our office in New Delhi, India. 

Do you deliver outside of India?

Oh, yes! We ship worldwide using a combination of both our India (https://in.lai-designs.com) and US (https://us.lai-designs.com) websites.

This (India) website caters to addresses for delivery in India, Asia and Middle East. We ship from our Delhi office, via Fedex or Indian Speed Post.

Our US website caters to all other countries, apart from those mentioned above, including USA, Canada, Europe, Australia etc. We ship from our California office, via USPS or Fedex.

What payment methods does Lai accept? 

We accept pretty much all credit cards, debit cards besides net-banking facility with all major national banks. In addition, you can also pay through an 'On-line Bank Transfer' or deposit cash/cheque in our HDFC business account.

I live in/am visiting Delhi.....can I drop in and shop?

Yes and no!

Ours is a home-office and we don't have any display facility- so we are not in a position to entertain walk ins. However, you are welcome to make your selection from the website, mail us your shortlist at shop@lai-designs.com and we'll pull out those designs. You can fix an appointment and drop in to collect the jewellery. You can even edit and pay by cash in this case!

I read somewhere that you operate from California (USA) too?

Thats right!

We operate out of two countries - India and USA and we hold separate inventories.

Can I visit your studio in California?

We are in the SF Bay Area and you are welcome to drop in should you happen to be near by!

This is a home-office not a shop so there are no jewellery displays. You will be required to make your selection on-line (from this website). We'll pull out your shortlisted designs and will be happy talk jewellery and everything else over a cup of chai or coffee.

How long until my order ships?

Items that are ready to ship will be shipped within 1-2 business days.

Items that are made to order; will be shipped within 3-4 weeks, depending on the item. In case of any delays we will be sure to inform you well ahead of time.

In case you want the jewellery by a definite date, please contact us before purchasing and we can look at our options together and try to make it work!

A lot of designs seems to be sold out.....why is that and why are they still listed?

All our designs are limited edition and we make very small batches of these- so often we sell out some designs very quickly. We don't remove the sold out designs from the website since they are a part of a story (collection) that, for us, was not a seasonal release but an on-going narrative.

If we do not have your item in stock (and to be honest, it's just plain impossible to keep all the designs- now counting over 400+ styles- in stock), use the 'notify me' button to indicate your interest in a particular sold out design or drop us a mail at shop@lai-designs.com.

Can I re-order a sold out item?

Though we can't take up piece meal requests for sold out items we do have a 'notify-me' button next to every sold out item.

Leave your e-mail id there and we'll send you a notification mail as soon as that design becomes available. This feature also helps us know which sold out designs you are coveting so we can put them into production- therefor we highly encourage you to use it!

I have bought from Lai before (this website got operational) and have your bank transfer details saved in my list of beneficiaries. Can I continue to do a direct bank transfer for my purchases?

Absolutely!

Direct bank transfer from your bank account to ours is a great option, especially since you already have our details. Please select 'On-line Bank Transfer' option, during check out.

In my order, I want some jewellery pieces to be sent to one address and rest to another. Possible?

Well, we can only ship to one address per order.

So in case part of your order needs to be shipped to another address- you will need to place a separate order for it.

I just placed an order but realized that I need to add something else too. What do I do?

You are in luck if we haven't dispatched your package!

You can add to your order as long as it is in our premises. Once the packet has been dispatched, you will need to place a new order.

How long will it take for my order to get delivered?

Orders within India are usually delivered within 2-4 working days via Fedex or Speed Post.

International orders can take 4-7 days depending on the location (these are estimates for delivery via Fedex).

Is there any marking/hallmark/925 stamp on your jewellery?

Our jewellery is stamped with a '925' mark to indicate sterling silver and also bears our signature 'Lai' stamp to authenticate its origin.

Do you gift wrap items?

All our jewellery is sent in elegant, ready-to-gift organza/tissue pouches. We also include a square authentication + care card with all orders. If you intend to gift the jewellery, this card is a great insertion.

Do you take customization requests?

Unfortunately not- sorry about that!
